Striking and rare hand-carved wooden fruit tower from Guatemala, traditionally used in religious processions and ceremonial displays. Features stacked layers of carved and painted fruits (pineapple, oranges, limes, pomegranates, etc.) on a painted pedestal base, topped with a carved pineapple finial.
• Origin: Guatemala
• Height: 31 inches tall
• Material: Hand-carved and painted wood
• Age: Mid-20th century folk art tradition
• Condition: Solid overall with some small chips and paint loss consistent with age and use in processions. These do not detract from its visual impact and instead highlight its authenticity.
