Description:

Beautiful hand-crafted Tonalá barro bruñido fish-shaped vase, made in Jalisco, Mexico, likely circa 1960s–70s. This whimsical piece features a fish form body decorated on both sides with traditional Tonalá motifs: an owl, a long-tailed bird, and stylized plants in earthy red, green, and cream tones. The surface is smooth burnished clay, giving it a soft sheen without glaze.

  • Motifs: Owl, bird, fish, plants
  • Era: Mid-Century (1960s–70s)
