19th Century Shanghai Pig Skin Trunk

This unique red-lacquered pigskin trunk is a must-have item if you collect antique trunks and storage boxes. Comes with a functional brass latch, 3 hinges and 2 side latches. Interior features red and black strip pattern and inscribed message written in Mandarin. This trunk is perfect for stowing away personal items such as documents, jewelry, money, and much more. Has some wear and tear that is consistent with age, but overall it is a well-maintained piece, and odor not offensive.
