Description:

The Lady Charmian figurines were made between 1940 and 1973, and from the number handwritten in the upper right of the backstamp on the bottom, this particular one was cast in 1950's.

Lady Charmian was designed by Leslie Harradine, who was among the most famous and popular of the Royal Doulton designers. Some people collect only Leslie Harradine figurines.

An interesting detail about this figurine is that the yellow roses in her basket and the one in her hand have all been handmade separately from the mold. This makes every single one of these figurines unique in the placement and expertise of the flowers. This figurine has particularly well done roses, and, there are no chips on them. That is rare. The flowers are very delicate, and this figurine is over 65 years old! Another cool detail, each leaf is made and attached separately
