Art Nouveau era print - incredible original iconic American art.Excellent Original Maxfield Parrish Print. 100% Authentic. Original hand carved framed - of the period. Marked in black print on lower right corner: "(c) 1917 C.A. Crane, Cleveland"

Maxfield Parrish (1870 – 1966) was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his individualistic and distinctive saturated hues and idealized neo-classical imagery. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the son of painter Stephen Parrish. Maxfield Parrish attended the Haverford College, Drexel Institute of Art, and the distinguished Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

His career lasted more than 50 years, during which time he is credited for initiating and shaping the Golden Age of American Illustration. His original works are rare and valuable, are held in museums and private collections world wide.
