Description:

This striking pit-fired art pottery vessel by California ceramic artist Scott Lindberg showcases the dramatic surface effects created through his burnishing and sawdust-firing techniques. The rounded seed-pot form highlights swirling natural colors—smoky blacks, fiery oranges, soft tans, and earthy reds—produced organically by flame, heat, and the atmospheric firing process. Measuring approximately 6.5 inches tall and 8 inches wide, the piece reflects Lindberg’s signature work from the late 1980s–early 1990s and comes with its original biographical sheet for added provenance. A distinctive and beautifully executed example of handcrafted California studio ceramics
