Early textile processing tool used for preparing flax fibers for linen production. Heavy wood plank fitted with dense array of hand-forged iron spikes, visible peened construction on reverse. Used by drawing raw flax through the spikes to separate and align fibers prior to spinning. Likely 19th century rural farm implement. Surface wear and oxidation consistent with age and use.
