English pewter warming plate by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, featuring a removable ceramic insert decorated with stylized floral motifs in the Aesthetic Movement taste. The pewter body retains its original screw-cap reservoir for hot water, designed to keep dishes warm at table. Marked to the underside with the Dixon trumpet hallmark and pattern number C3185, this is a well-preserved example of late Victorian or Edwardian functional tableware with strong decorative appeal.
