Victorian genre print after the celebrated English painter Marcus Stone (1840–1921), depicting the romantic narrative scene commonly known as Married for Love. The composition features a young mother carrying an infant while leading a gentleman through a garden setting rendered with the sentiment and storytelling characteristic of Stone's work. Appears to be a late 19th or early 20th century chromolithograph or photomechanical reproduction housed in a period black ebonized frame with silver-toned liner. Reverse bears an old handwritten label identifying the piece as a Victorian print.
